Behind the Welcome
The Mission
Welcome to Puglia was born from a personal need for connection, the kind that goes beyond sightseeing and surface encounters.
It’s for solo travelers and small groups who don’t just want to visit a place, but feel part of it.
This project is a reflection of my own journey:
traveling alone, moving across countries, and often longing for a space where I could feel truly welcomed: not as a tourist, but as a person.
Here in Puglia, I’ve created that space.
Through my Welcome Stays and Welcome Events, I invite you to slow down, reconnect with yourself and others, and experience the rhythms of everyday life in Southern Italy, at a human pace, with real people.
You’ll unplug and breathe, but you’ll also have fun, share stories around a table, listen to and practice real Italian, and even make Italian friends who’ll welcome you like family.
And while you enjoy this journey, you’re also helping preserve a way of life.
Welcome to Puglia is not just your next trip.
It’s arrival, belonging, and a second home, even if only for a little while.
Your presence has a real impact:
- You support small family-run businesses and artisans
- You contribute to keeping cultural traditions alive
- You help sustain local communities and young people choosing to stay
- You promote a model of tourism that respects and uplifts, not exploits
